In April I had a bit of break from attending VMUGs, especially after March was such a busy time. I think I was some VMUG event every week in March. Anyway, will be soon be May (yes, I know, where is this year going!) I’ve got two VMUG events in May.

The first is the Italy User Conference in Milan (yes, I know its hard life…)

Italy – Milan User Conference – Register Here
7th May
Milano Congressi Conference Center (MICO)
North Wing Entrance
Via Gattamelata, 5 (Gate 15)
Milan, Italy

There will be your typical cast of VMware reprobates (Joe Baguley, Martin Casado, Duncan Epping and Massimo Re Ferrè) as well as yours truly. I will be speaking about the FeedForward Program, and hoping to inspire members to be mentors and presenters.

My second event is:

London VMUG – Register Here
London Chamber of Commerce and Industry
33 Queen Street
London, EC4R 1AP

This fits in with one of my goals this year, to attend every UK VMUG event when possible – but also be there to support the larger country-wide/EU events as well. The London group has a detail agenda already up. This is the line up:

  • EMC – Unleash your Applications – How Flash is Transforming the Application Experience, Itzik Reich, Principal Global SE
  • Owen Sheehy – Introduction to Virtual SAN
  • Richard Munro – vCHS, The Hybrid Cloud Made Real (with demo)
  • Frank Buechsel – SSL Certificate Usage in vSphere
  • UniPrint Labs
  • Zerto – Software-Defined Disaster Recovery, Joshua Stenhouse
  • Opvizor – VMware Analysis & Compliance on Steroids, Dennis Zimmer
  • Simon Gallagher – vCAC Real World Experience (with demo)
  • Owen Sheehy – Virtual SAN Troubleshooting
  • 3 x Lightning Talks from Simon Gallagher, Darren Woollard and Gregg Robertson/Craig Kilborn
  • Frank Buechsel – SSO Architecture, Deployment and Common Issues

I’m particularly interested in Owen Sheehy’s sessions (as I haven’t touched VSAN yet) and also Simon Gallagher session on vCAC… And of course, the Lightening Talks where folks from the community get to strut their stuff!
