I’m thrilled to say I’ve been asked to play at the Horncliffe Music and Beer Festival in July. I was in the area back in Nov of last year – and got the chance to visit the INTERNATIONALLY FAMOUS (channelling my inner American there) Chain Bridge. Chain Bridge spans the Tweed right on the English and Scottish border, so it is possible to have one leg in England and at the same time the other leg in England. Both my friend, Sue Conroy, and I have been there and done the video where you hop from one country to another. I think this should become a Horncliffe right of passage for any performer who plays at the festival.

I’ll be doing two slots, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, and each set will be totally different, so if you love my unique brand of miserable, melodic, otherworldly, ethereal, uncanny music, then you’re in for a treat!

A big bonus for me is the fact that my musical pals, Sue Conroy (who I know from numerous Young Uns events, and the Ring Of Iron Folk Club – endorsed by Mr Cooney no less!) and

Jenny Biddle, whose name rhymes with piddle (her words, not mine!) – and an interesting blend of Australian-Americana based in Scotland (how’s that for a melting pot!) – whom I was very fortunate to support in Salburn in April.

So why not come along, enjoy some fabulous beer and music too… and yes, be in Scotland/England simultaneously
